Why is it ... (Politicians)

... are so covert? I'm sure many don't know what they are getting into when they get into politics, but, Lo and Behold, how is it that they go mute when it comes to discovering how the world really operates?

If you've got an hour or two, a big dictionary, and a willingness to 'absorb' what you are about to read, get a real eye-opener with this article (well, near a book): http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=17736 (Be sure to scroll down the page to read the article). Scary stuff, really.

Why is it ... (Retailers)

... seek to 'screw' us when it comes to purchasing items? The United States was found on many moral, not necessarily religious principles. With that in mind, why is that we have to ensure our own goodwill with an eye to caution when shopping?

As I read this article (A Map to Grocery Store Savings: http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/108916/a-map-to-grocery-store-savings), like I have so many before it, and with much appreciation, too, I wondered why do we have to always 'gamble' in a democracy? So, I'm not so sure we do live in a democracy as much as I fear we live in an financial oligarchy. See Congress and the White House for more info on this ...

Why is it when I buy a near slab of 'discount-priced' chicken quarters that I find a half pound of useless fat tucked underneath the thigh / leg joint? Talk about a butcher's thumb! Better yet, when I buy a "family package" of steaks, why is it that I find an undersized cut that looks good in packaging view, but it clearly a rip-off when the packaging is removed?

Why is it ... (Congress)

... America has no real leaders these days? A president that sold a good story ... well, he's having a hell of a time making it come true. It's well past time to focus, sir.

What happened to those who participated in the Newt Gingrich "Contract with America" folks from the mid-90s? Did they forget how to lead? The Democrats have no real, earnest, selfless leaders in the House and Senate and the Republicans seem even more rudderless in the past 10-15 years than ever. As far as I'm concerned we have a nation on the verge, but with nowhere to go.

Forget party affiliations, political philosophies, and do what's right, Congress! With your ratings as low as they are, no wonder you all look like Sims waiting for others (your political interest groups) to tell you what to do ... Remember you represent your constituents, most of all!

Why is it ... (Politicians vs Educators)

... politicians always know the answers to what they consider problems in education when none to a tiny handful at any given point in time are not educators themselves? Even then, when they do consider 'educator' input, it's often from those who've never spent any real time in a classroom or at an education administration job to know better. If politicians are prone to that for education, how do they make decisions that affect other entitites?

If universal healthcare comes to pass, at what point will members of Congress begin to dictate to doctors how to run their practices?
